If you're here, you're probably interested in who I am, what I do, and how I can help you.
The name's Jackson - I'm an entrepreneur, software developer, and personal finance enthusiast in his early 30s that (probably) drinks too much coffee and can't stop thinking about Formula 1.
The most important thing you need to know about me: I'm a dad raising two wonderful kids with my amazing wife while we strive to live a simple, beautiful, meaningful life.
Aside from that, I try to make a positive impact on the world by helping others as much as I can. I run Covalence, an online software development school and community that teaches necessary skills to break into the tech industry. You'll occasionally (but not often) find me on X and Instagram, but with each passing day I find social media more and more corrosive to my well-being.
If you want any sort of meaningful insight into my experiences, recommendations, and perspective on this one way journey we call life, you'll want to subscribe to the Fly FI Guy blog where I share everything I know about money, life, and how to make the most of both. I've been a perpetual student of personal finance for over 15 years, and the Fly FI Guy is the persona I created to share that passion with others and help them chart their own path to financial independence.
In short, I spend most of my time trying to better my life and the lives of those around me. Most of the time it feels like I fall short of those aspirations, but sometimes things work out perfectly. And I think that's what it's all about.
Cheers,
Jackson
